Toddler Program

(18-24 months)

     We provide toddlers with learning activities that will stimulate language skills, enhance the development of words and assist the children to verbally communicate his/her needs.   A basic introduction to colors, shapes and beginning numbers is taught as part of a program which includes art exploration in a variety of media such as pasting, collage and fingerpainting. 

     We provide manipulative activities to develop eye-hand coordination, small muscle skills and problem solving skills through play dough, block building, hook-together toys and classification of objects. 

     Social skills are enhanced, learning how and when to share and developing an awareness of other children and people in their invironment.  Simplified music, fingerplays and storytelling are a part of our daily program.

Preschool

2 - 4 years

     Children in our preschool program experience a variety of activities throughout the day. 

     We provide a learning environment and expose children to basic academic concepts such as alphabet, number, shape and color recognition.  Children are taught academic concepts through stories, fingerplays, games, art and lessons.  .

     Manipulatives are provided to enhance small muscle development and reinforce concrete learning.  Inside and outside play is included in their day

PreKindergarten

4 - 5 years

As a child enters Pre-Kindergarten, ABC Little Schools provides a classroom environment as a precursor to Kindergarten.  There is an emphasis on refinement of small muscle skills and proper formation of letters and numbers.  Academic concepts in the area of language arts, number concepts and expanding the recognition of shapes and colors are enhanced.  Beginning phonics is explored.
